Who can attend? The activities of Pronto Seminars are available to clinicians (physicians, therapists, social workers, nurses), educators, researchers and their family members.
Can my partner/spouse attend the seminar or workshop? Yes, we encourage family members to participate in the workshops.
What does it cost in total, including registration, airfare and hotel?
We encourage participants to plan on investing $3000 to $5000 depending on your meals, accommodations and travel expenses including excursions before after and during the workshop.
What is the nearest airport?
For Villa Zuccari (Umbria): Rome (FCO) is closest to Villa Zuccari in Montefalco. A train from Rome to Foglino will take approximately 90 minutes, then a taxi or transfer to the Villa will be about 10 minutes.
For Villa Rinascimento (Tuscany): The Pisa (PSA) airport is 15 minutes from the Villa. The Florence (FLR) airport is about 1 hour from the Villa.
What are the closest train stations?
For Villa Zuccari (Umbria): Foligno. For Villa Rinascimento (Tuscany): Lucca.

Do the Villas offer a transfer service or should I take a taxi? You may request a transfer from the Villas directly or take a taxi from the train station or airport. How do I register? Register online if possible. Please follow the links from our home page: http://www.italyseminars.com/. We use Eventbrite for registrations. If you prefer to register directly by phone, please contact us at +1.415.867.4698.
Are meals and/or hotel included in the registration fee? The 2012 registration fee includes tuition, course materials, welcome reception and the final dinner. The special Villa rates include breakfast and lunch exclusively for our participants.

Do you offer Scholarships? No not at this time.
Do you send invitation letters for travel visas? No not at this time.
What is the Program Schedule each day? Usually from 9 am to 1 pm the workshop meets; free time, excursions and integration of material are the focus for the remainder of each day and evening.
Is there any Internet point close to the conference venue? There is wi-fi throughout each Villa.
Is there a Laundromat or dry cleaner’s close to the conference venue? Usually there is a Laundromat nearby or one can utilize the Villa’s service.
It is a good idea to purchase travel insurance? Yes. Most travel insurance will cover some of your costs in the event you cannot travel for some reason or if the event is canceled.
Do you have any airline discounts? No, because the market is always changing. If you would like help with your travel planning, including touring in Italy and Europe before and after our seminars, we recommend our travel consultant, Josh Friedman. Josh is an Italy expert and he should be able to save you time while providing high quality service. Service fees apply. We also recommend Fare Buzz, which offers discount business class and economy fares.
Is there any left luggage service at the railway station? Yes, usually there is a luggage office where you can leave your luggage for a maximum of 5 days. However, it depends on the city.
What if my luggage is lost or delayed? We can help track it down. Be sure to keep your luggage tickets given to you when checking in for a flight.
Are the rooms singles or doubles? Do the rooms have private bathrooms? All rooms have private bathrooms. Both Villas have singles, doubles and triples.
What is the cancellation policy? Registrants who do not cancel according to the following guidelines will forfeit all fees. You must write, email or fax your cancellation request.
- 100% less $100 administration fee will be refunded for cancellation requests received by May 31, 2012
- 75% of Registration fee will be refunded on all cancellation requests made after June 1, 2012.
- 50% of Registration fees will be refunded on all cancellation requests made after August 1, 2012
- 25% of Registration fee will be refunded on all cancellation requests made after August 15, 2012
- There are no refunds after September 1, 2012.
Can I share a room with another participant? Yes, we can help with this. If you would like to share a room, please send your inquiry to info@italyseminars.com. You must do this AFTER you register. We cannot guarantee a roommate, but we will send you a list of people who have inquired.
Do you recommend travelers checks? You may bring travelers’ checks (only in Euro) if you wish. We have found the easiest and most economical solution is offered by ATM machines using your bank debit card (and a 4 digit PIN).
What will the weather be like? September will likely be warm to hot, cooling down at nights. For weather an up to date forecast, we recommend:

What is the appropriate dress? The warm weather necessitates light casual clothing (we suggest natural fabrics in light colors). As a fair amount of walking is inevitable in Italy, make sure you bring comfortable footwear (sandals or similar shoes are best because sneakers and training shoes tend to make your feet swell up in the heat). Remember no bare shoulders, shorts or beachwear in churches.
